Prism Launcher Installation Guide
This guide will walk you through installing Prism Launcher and setting up a Fabric Minecraft instance with the required mods to connect to the Wiki server.
Prerequisites
- macOS (or Windows/Linux - instructions are similar)
- Java 21 or higher installed
- Minecraft account (Java Edition)
Step 1: Download Prism Launcher
- Visit the Prism Launcher website
- Download the appropriate version for your operating system
- Install Prism Launcher by following the on-screen instructions

Step 2: Launch Prism Launcher
- Open Prism Launcher
- On first launch, you'll need to configure Java and add your Minecraft account
- Click Settings in the top menu
- Under Java, ensure Java 21+ is selected
- Click Accounts and add your Minecraft account

Step 3: Create a New Instance
- Click Add Instance button in the top toolbar
- Select Minecraft version 1.21.1 from the version list
- Under Mod Loader, select Fabric
- Give your instance a name (e.g., "Wiki Server")
- Click OK to create the instance

Step 4: Download Required Mods
Download the following mod files from the wiki:

Save all three files to an easily accessible location (e.g., Downloads folder).

Step 5: Install Mods
- In Prism Launcher, right-click on your "Wiki Server" instance
- Select Edit Instance from the context menu
- Click on the Mods tab in the left sidebar
- Click Add File or Add button
- Navigate to where you saved the three mod files
- Select all three mod files:
fabric-api-0.140.2+1.21.11.jarvoicechat-fabric-1.21.11-2.6.10.jarwiki-plugin-fabric-1.21.11-1.1.0.jar
- Click Open to install them
All three mods should now appear in your mods list.

Step 6: Launch Minecraft
- Close the Edit Instance window
- Double-click on your "Wiki Server" instance (or select it and click Launch)
- Wait for Minecraft to start
- Once at the main menu, you're ready to connect to the server!

Step 7: Connect to the Wiki Server
- Click Multiplayer from the main menu
- Click Add Server
- Enter the following details:
- Server Name: Wiki Server (or any name you prefer)
- Server Address:
minecraft.hamiltonian.io
- Click Done
- Select the server from your list and click Join Server

Troubleshooting
Issue: Game crashes on launch
- Ensure you're using Minecraft 1.21.1 (not 1.21 or 1.21.2)
- Verify Java 21 or higher is installed
- Check that all three mod files are compatible versions
Issue: Can't hear voice chat
- Check your audio settings in Minecraft
- Press V (default key) to open Simple Voice Chat settings
- Ensure your microphone and speakers are properly configured
Issue: Wiki plugin not working
- Verify the plugin file is in the mods folder
- Check the Minecraft logs for any errors
- Ensure you're connected to the correct server
Mod Information
- Fabric API (v0.140.2+1.21.11): Required library for Fabric mods
- Simple Voice Chat (v2.6.10): Proximity voice chat in-game
- Wiki Plugin (v1.1.0): Custom plugin for Wiki server integration
Updates
To update mods:
- Download the new version from the wiki
- Right-click your instance → Edit Instance → Mods
- Remove the old version
- Add the new version using the same process as Step 5
